Boot Fit Guide
Lacy boots tend to run very true to size with the included insert. The boots are made to accommodate the insert with your standard foot/shoe size. Order what you normally wear in most shoe sizes. If you're between two sizes, go down to the smaller size. For example, if you wear a 7 to a 7.5, order the 7. If they don't fit, contact us at howdy@lacyboots.com and we will send you a return label. As soon as we get the boots back in unused condition, we will ship you out your new size.
Lacy boots are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The inside seams are rolled down with a machine so they don't rub on your ankles. They are so comfortable that many customers say they have a 0–1 day break-in period. It is normal for your heel to pull up slightly with a new pair of boots. If they feel overall the right size, after some wearing, they will mold to your foot for a more custom fit. We have included an insert made out of the industry's top-of-the-line impact-resistant, shock-absorbing material. This material absorbs shock by dispersing the impact from the heel to the ball of your foot, leaving your feet, legs and back feeling much less fatigued, even after standing and working on concrete all day. This insert does not break down like other leading inserts. It can be added or removed depending on sock thickness, or as needed for foot injuries, uneven foot sizes, etc. Don't worry about using the inserts to try the fit of the boot; that is what they are for.
Calf width sizing
We have three calf sizes: slim at 14", medium at 15.5" and roomy at 17". Measure your calf at its widest point. If your boots come and they are a bit snug in any area (instep, side of toe or calf), many people customize the fit by putting rubbing alcohol or warm water on their socks at the snug spot and wearing the boots around the house for a few hours. Everyone who has needed to do this says it works wonders. Remember this tip for any leather shoes you buy as well. Let us know if you have any additional questions.
